Welcome to the first EVer NEEAA email news. First and most important, please note that if you received a ballot for the national EAA, ignore the part about 'must be postmarked by Dec 31'. Just fill it out and send it in 'soon', lets say before Jan 31. We regretfully inform you of the passing of Jack Gretta. His more than 30 years of contributions to our club and the EV cause will be missed. Reminder: Our next meeting is Saturday January 14th and will be held at Tony's place in Worcester again. Just enter the door at the top of the driveway and climb to the second floor. If you would like to be removed from this list or know anyone to add please just click 'reply' and let me know or send to mathenyb@juno.com Copied below is the most recent message from 'HQ': =============================================================== EAA Update for New England EAA and e-Distro Cheers New England EAA - Tony, Bob, Brian, et NEEAA al, ... This emailing will be a three-in-one endeavor outgoing to each EAA Chapters. It covers: first, the EAA Board Elections, Awards, & International Annual Members Meeting; secondly, the 5th EVer EAA Chapters Conference; and thirdly, the request for EVents for the Year 2006 from EAA Chapters. First, in addition to the notice in the November-December issue of the Current EVents about the upcoming EAA Board Elections, along with the late mailing of the official EAA ballots and the delay with the Post Office's handling of first class mail, please reassure your EAA Chapter Membership that the postmarked deadline of 31 December will be extended by the EAA Election Committee. So send in those EAA Board Election ballots as soon as possible. Note: The Candidate Statements are also posted on the EAA Website. Check also for any updates, particularly the EAA Board Election results. See www.eaaev.org. Consider all six candidates in the running, but note there are only four openings on the eleven-member EAA Board. Please vote and for only your top four choices. Voting is important for continual development of a stronger, more representational EAA organization.
